The Manna House Hosting 2nd Annual Singing for Suppers Karaoke Competition

Florence is a community that truly steps up when there’s a need, and right now our local Manna House needs our support. With PDRTA now offering fare-free bus rides, more people than ever are able to get to The Manna House for meals. What once was a small group has grown into more than 200 people served at breakfast, with another 200 coming for lunch. That’s incredible service to our neighbors, but it also means the organization’s resources are being stretched thin.
To help, The Manna House is hosting its 2nd Annual Singing for Suppers Karaoke Competition on Thursday, September 25, 2025, from 6–9 PM in the James Allen Plaza in Downtown Florence. This fun, ticketed event will feature 15 amateur contestants, 3 “at-large” singers chosen the night of, and a new addition—celebrity singers. I’ll be joining Jumana Swindler, Vice President of Communications and Public Information for McLeod Health, and Rachelle Ball, Executive Director of Hospital-Based Services for MUSC Health, as this year’s celebrity participants.
Your dollars pick the winner! Voting is open now and continues through the evening of the competition. Tickets are just $25, and every dollar raised goes directly to help The Manna House continue feeding those in need right here in Florence. Just $1.20 provides a meal for a community member in need, so even the smallest donation can make a big difference.
If you can’t make it, you can still support this worthwhile cause with an online donation.
